Hyundai N Front Lower Control Arm Caster Bushing Installation Guide

Estimated installation time: 3.5hr

1. Raise and support the front axle and remove both front wheels
   
   
2. Remove the brake caliper and bracket assembly(9), brake disc(1), and brake shield(6)
   
   
   
   
3. Disconnect the sway bar end link from the sway bar(17)
   
   
   
   
4. Remove the undertray: Veloster(4), Elantra(5), Kona(4)
   
   
   Veloster N
   
   Elantra N
   
   
   
   Kona N
   
   
5. Remove the lower control arm(2) and press out the OEM bushing(4)
   
   
   
   
6. Press the S-Series spherical bushing into the control arm from the top side and install the snap ring on the opposite side.
   
   
   
   
7. Install the control arm and raise the upright to ride height position to torque the following:
   forward bolt 95ft-lbs
   rearward nut/bolt 125ft-lbs
   upright nut/bolt 60ft-lbs
   
   
8. Install the undertray
   
   
9. Install the sway bar end link, torque nut 85ft-lbs
   
   
10. Install the brake system, torque caliper bracket bolt 70ft-lbs
    
    
11. Install the wheels, torque lug nut 90ft-lbs
